Description and objectives of the project: The “Bormio Active Hotel” project aims to refurbish and upgrade the hotel accommodation managed by BORMIO ACTIVE S.R.L., with the aim of improving its competitiveness, energy efficiency and the environmental sustainability of its tourism offering, thereby enhancing the region’s appeal, particularly in the run-up to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Expected outcomes: renovation of the facility, expansion and modernisation of the services offered to customers, improvement in environmental performance, and enhancement of the quality and range of tourist services provided.
The project was carried out with co-funding from the European Union, the Italian government and the Lombardy Region, as part of the 2021–2027 ERDF Regional Programme, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2021/1060.

Initiative fully funded by the Province of Sondrio as part of the “AQST 2023 – 2023 Programme of Measures relating to 2022 State Water Property Funds and 2022 Additional Fees”.

This initiative has been organised with the support of the Sondrio Chamber of Commerce as part of measures to support the local tourism sector, in collaboration with the “Valtellina” brand and in accordance with the partnership agreement with the Fondazione Milano-Cortina 2026.
