Bormio in winter? It's not just skiing. The Stelvio National Park and the surrounding valleys lend themselves to snowshoeing and hiking, leisurely strolls and challenging treks
With boots on your feet and rackets, accompanied by the Bormio Alpine Guides, you can walk in the Stelvio National Park. There are also many itineraries that can be explored independently using snowshoes: a couple of examples are the Oga - Tadè ring-route, suitable for everyone, and the Monte - Alpe Zandilla itinerary, of medium difficulty. The Val di Rezzalo, on the banks of the mountains above Sondalo, is a magnificent setting in which to snowshoe, as is the route along the Sentiero delle Sorgenti, which starts in Santa Caterina Valfurva. Not to mention the splendid Val Viola and the Pedemontana della Reit, routes that
are truly unmissable.
Winter in Bormio, after all, is for everyone. For those who ski, but also for those who want to enjoy the mountains by walking through the valleys. From the Stelvio National Park to Val Viola and Val Zebru, the possibilities are endless. And they are suitable for experienced hikers, newcomers to the mountains, those travelling alone, with family or with friends.
