Giro d'Italia
October 22nd has been a particularly important date for cycling lovers and sport lovers in general. The Giro d'Italia was back to say hallo to Stelvio hairpin turns, before the arrival at Cancano lakes. It has been a long and very hard stage of 251 km. The athletes challenged each other to win the 18th stage of Giro.
After the 2022 stage that featured the Mortirolo Pass, in 2023 the Giro d'Italia took a break from Valtellina, but two wheels were the protagonists on the Stelvio Pass thanks to the new Giro Next Gen: the event that led the champions of the future.


Granfondo Stelvio Santini
Granfondo Stelvio Santini is a long race, made of different routes but with one thing in common: all can be experienced with the same determination and enthusiasm.
The race challenging Stelvio, Mortirolo and Teglio passes.

Mapei Day
Sunday, 2022 July 9th Re Stelvio Mapei is back: a one-of-a-kind competition to challenge Stelvio.
It’s one of the most popular competitions for athletes. The combination of two sports characterised by the same characteristics: determination, tenacity and endurance.


Alta Valtellina Bike Marathon
On the 29th July 2023 take part in the toughest marathon of the Alps on Saturday, Marathon, Endurance and Classic are 3 spectacular tracks ready to be challenged by athletes from all over the world.
3 days of pure sport surrounded by an unforgettable natural location.


Haute Route Dolomites
The 2023 Haute Route Dolomites will kick off with a truly epic stage encapsulating two all-time classics. Heading out of the town centre of stunning Bormio, riders kick off the five-day race with the spectacular climb to Passo Umbrail.
- 29th August: 1st Stage: Bormio-Passo Umbrail-Passo Stelvio (84 km e 3.300 m elevation)
- 30st August: 2nd Stage: Bormio-Passo Gavia-Passo Predaia (120 km e 3.000 m elevation)

Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina
Enjoy Stelvio National Park is an idea created to enhance the alpine passes of Stelvio National Park by closing them to car traffic. This means they will be completely available to cyclists and hikers.
It’s a unique opportunity to discover the most beautiful alpine passes in Italy, those made famous by the champions of Giro d'Italia.
